The Queen of Soul, Ms. Aretha Franklin, 68, fell and fractured her ribs. She was scheduled to give two New York City free concerts, unfortunately cancelled. "I was very much looking forward to being in Brooklyn and having a foot-long hot dog at Coney Island," Ms. Franklin said in the statement. "Hopefully I will get it before the end of August." The concerts have been rescheduled, dates to be announced. The concerts, by the way are at Brooklyn's Wingate Park in East Flatbush area and at Asser Levy Park in Brighton Beach.

Speaking about Ms. Aretha, our Queen, she and the late great King of Pop, Mr. Michael Jackson were honored at the Apollo Theater, in NYC. It's wonderful how our people are honoring the Queen, unfortunately, the King of Pop, was not able to enjoy such an honor. By the way, Mr. Jackson has a new CD coming out in November. Guest on this CD will be Ne-Yo, among others; I would imagine it will be done pretty much in the way that Natalie Cole and her father, Mr. Nat King Cole did on "Unforgettable".

Kanye West is said to be releasing a new CD In September. One of the titles floating around is "Good Ass Job". Now you have to wonder, if the title is for media attention? Since the Taylor Swift drama, Mr. West has been low-key. Only time will tell.

Did you hear about Laurence Fishburne's daughter doing a porn flick? I didn't even know he had a daughter, since he's always been extremely private in his personal life. His daughter, Montana "Chip" Fishburne, wants to be like Kim Kardashian. Honey that ain't going to happen. It's said that Mr. Fishburne is extremely disappointed with his daughter's career choice, and what dad wouldn't be.

If you're a fan of "Law & Order", like I am. I watch them all, I have exciting news. For the Fall line-up on television, "Law & Order: Los Angeles have added actors Terrence Howard and Regina Hall to its cast. Sadly the Law & Order: NY will not be returning.

Recording artist and actress, Ms. Freda Payne has released a re-make of Ms. Bonnie Pointer's, "Free Me From My Freedom. Also this past August, Ms. Payne, Marilyn McCoo, Bill Davis, Jr., Debby Boone, B.J. Thomas and a few others, taped the Marvin Hamlisch PBS special titled, "The Way We Were". As for Ms. Payne's new single, Click here: YouTube - freda payne free me from my freedom, let me know what you think.

Wil.i.am from the Black Eyed Peas is letting the world know that he's not thrilled about the planned release of the awaited, soon to be released Michael Jackson album. He told the Associated Press, "I don't think that should ever come out. That's bad. He was a perfectionist, and he wouldn't have wanted it that way. How you gonna release Michael Jackson when Michael Jackson ain't here to bless it? How much can you suck from his energy? Freaking parasites!" Well he has a point, but the music industry and the whole wide world period, operates on its drive of making money. It's all about the green paper.

Recording artist, producer, artist and chocolate hunk, Marques Houston will reunite with his boy group, "Immature" with the release single and video, "Ghetto Love". It will be exciting to see if success to the group will strike for a second time. I'm sure if the guys are showing skin, the girls and gay guys will make this release reach number one.

Fantasia involved with a married man (Antwaun Cook) and has been named in the court documents as the reason for the upcoming divorce. And there's supposed to be a sex tape of Fantasia and Antwaun, that the wife has. Cheaters, this is going to get nasty. Oops, wait, stop, just in… Ms. Fantasia was rushed to the hospital after overdosing on aspirin, after hearing about the lawsuit her cheating lover's wife has filed. Personally, I can't understand why Fantasia would try to take her own life. Did she not think about her daughter? Did she not remember the teachings in her church? If her lover lied, the soon to be ex-wife is pointing the finger at the wrong person. Or perhaps the diva in training has been set up, maybe Antwaun & ex thought wife are trying to jump on the Fantasia gravy train. A week after the incident, Fantasia performed in N.C., and during her first interview, since… she said that she wanted to die, she was tired of people using her. Hopefully she's in counseling. I heard the new CD and it's off the hook.

Alicia Keys who was involved with a married guy, who she soon married after his divorce, rumor has it that her low record sells are because of this situation. Nobody likes a home wrecker. Legend actress and activist, Dame Elizabeth Taylor could have told them the possibly results.

Lady GaGa has released another album, "Lady Gaga, the remix". I'm so Gaga out. The lady can sing her behind off, so there's no need for the weird clothes, hat and attitude. She's gotten the attention of the whole world. Now she needs to chill out before she's burns out.

Anita Baker and Snoop Dog are in the studio recording for Ms. Baker's upcoming CD. If Mr. Dog is on your album it guarantees automatic success. When Ms. Baker was on the Monique Show, she brought the house down. I can't wait for the CD. I have all of Ms. Baker's, she's truly unique.

New video and single from recording artist, Houston Bernard. This talented singer was one of the first people that I interviewed for GBM News. If you're into club music and eye candy, check me out at: www.HoustonBernard.com

Rapper/Actor, 50 Cents appeared on the Graham Norton show and I have to tell you, I have a new respect for 50 Cents. Many of us are under the impression that our black rappers are not gay friendly or perhaps way deep into the closet. This is not the case with 50. He was comfortable and charming on Mr. Norton's, who's out and proud, television show. He was also on the View a week earlier and it was such a pleasure listening to him speak as he was not thuggish at all. Now I have to run out & purchase the (Curtis Jackson) 50 Cent CD's, I once promised myself not to buy.

Amber Rose, according to "global Grind", is out on the prowl after ending relationships with Kanye West and Reggie Bush. Now it is me, but who is Amber Rose. All I know if that she was once Kanye West' girlfriend. I didn't even know about Reggie Bush. And what does she do? Does she sing, dance, act? Hell if I know.

Clothes line, "House of Dereon" has been accused of stealing designs and idea's from E- Label, a European clothes line. 'House of Dereon" is owned by Beyonce and her mother, Tina Knowles. Stay tuned, we will see how this plays out.

Daughter of actor, Lawrence Fishburne, Montana, appears on the cover of Asia magazine and the caption is, "I'm not doing shit to him, but fu*king and having my career" What did this father do to his daughter, to have her express herself this way. She's done a photo shoot for "Playboy", and she's really, if she hasn't done it already, a porn movie. She's expressed that she wants to do what Kim Kardashian did, but I doubt that's going to happen. There are claims that her father has said that he' done with her, which implies that they may have had a troubled relationship before this.

If you're looking some old but new, then "The Puppini Sisters" are the way to go. The Puppini remind you of "The Pointer Sisters" and "The Andrew Sisters". It's a interesting sound, click here: www.thepuppinisisters.com

Rumors flying that Mariah and Nick Cannon may be pregnant. No one has confirmed it yet, but supposedly it could be true. I'm sure a fan of the both of them. If you've seen "America's Got Talent", you were able to see the magic of Mr. Nick Cannon. A beautiful couple.

Dancing with The Stars in London has Destiny's Child and Broadway star; Ms. Michelle Williams bring the new September cast of celebrities.

When Spike Lee was interviewed by "Black Star News" about the state of black film making, Mr. Lee said, I'm kind of disappointed with the state of African American films. And we're not talking about" I, Robot" or "Manchurian Candidate, "films starring Denzel and Will. I think that for the most part, the studios' viewpoint of African Americans is very limited. They see us just as rappers, crackheads, crack dealers and clowns." Ouch! Hopefully this will be a wake-up call to our black entertainers. It's not always about the money, it should be about the pride.

There were rumors that Chris Brown did not wish to travel with Usher. Well that's not the truth; Mr. Brown can't tour with Usher due to a legal matter. Well maybe, next year.

Remember the cutie, Justin Guarini? American Idol, in the first season, Kelly Clarkson won and he was runner up. I thought that his singing voice, handsome good looks, his beautiful hair and the devilish smile would have sent him to straight number # 1. It didn't happen. Well great news, Mr. Guarini is said to be on Broadway. And he can say," Goodbye to the TV channel". This is a new show called, "Verge of Breakdown". Now get this, acclaimed actors, Brian Stokes Michell, Sherie Rene Scott, gay favorite, Ms. Patti LuPone are starring in play called, "Women on the Verge Nervous Breakdown". Previews on Oct. 2nd and opens on Nov. I will be in NYC at this time, so you know I'm going.

The son of Diana Ross, Evan Ross, is said to be in the studio working on some music. When asked if he and his famous mother will record together, he answered, "Of course". I haven't heard him sing yet. It's said that he will have the best top rappers and producers for his first album.

Disco Diva

By Sr. Entertainment Correspondent & Chief Editor, John Frazier

The first time I heard Ms. Jeanie Tracy sing was on one of Sylvester's CD, "To Hot to Sleep". The songs are classic's now, "Don't Make Me Wait (Give It Up)" & "Here's My Love". But after my investigation, I was happily surprised at the diva's history.

She's done background vocals not only for Sylvester but for the who's who of the entertainment industry such as the great Queen of Soul, Aretha, Celine, Patti, Angela Bofill, Mariah, Tracy Chapman, Patti Austin, Pedro Bryson and that's for starters. As for commercials, we have heard her voice but didn't know it was her: Burger King, CBS theme, Clorex, thousands of others and her own personal recordings, if you're a club kid you already know them; remake-classic of Teddy's and Thelma's, "Don't Leave Me This Way" among other songs in her body of work.

But I believe if you're a real Jeanie Tracy fan, then you know her from her Sylvester days. I'm so grateful that the diva, Ms. Jeanie Tracy had a few moments to "chit chat" with us.

THE INTERVIEW:

John: First of all, thank you to taking the time to be interviewed. It's like you are a precious, fabulous, hidden secret and yet you have done so much. How old were you when realized that you were born to sing and perform?
Jeanie: I started to sing at the age of three with my aunt who was a fabulous gospel singer and taught me.
John: Your recording of the Anthony & The Imperials, "Tears on My Pillow", should have gotten black radio play, its old school R&B. It sounds like something Aretha or Martha Wash would sing. However, it's unique because it's you. Your beautiful voice is just as soulful and powerful.
Jeanie: Thank you so much, it was a favorite of mine and the now late Harvey Fuqua encouraged me to record it.
John: You and Martha Wash sound a lot alike on some of yours and her recordings; would you say this is why you were asked to sing with the late and great Mr. Sylvester?
Jeanie: I never thought I sounded like Martha until the last few years, even though I think she is one of the world's greatest singers and my friend. Martha has a little more vibrato and little more on the opera tip than I. But as say in the last few years we sound more and more alike. I don't mind at all since I love my sister. I was asked to sing with Syl because I opened for him on a show and he liked my voice and flair and I was creating a buzz around the SF Bay Area.
John: Two of your recordings with Mr. Sylvester, "Give It Up (Don't Make Me Wait") and "Here's My Love" are two of my favorite songs, I still play them. What was that experience like?
Jeanie: Fantastic!!!..I wrote the lyric and melody to Give it Up and sung it ...Sylvester loved it came in and we both sang it together....he called me in on "Here is my Love".....and we were carrying on like to love sick people...it was hysterical!!! He initially wanted to sing it in the higher Soprano register and I told him to sing it low and be the Man.....I said, "There is no room for another fish (woman) on this". He fell out laughing....we had soooo much fun on that song.
John: You were born in Houston, Texas, and raised in Frenso, California. As a child, who inspired you, musically?
Jeanie: My choir teacher Mrs. Bue and my piano teacher Ms Foote, who taught me how to play gospel and classical music. I was classically trained in Bach and Beethoven....studied for about 10 years.
John: If I'm correct, you have recorded two albums, "It's My Time", and "Me and You". Rumor has it that you are back in the studio recording your third album? Is this correct? And if it's true, what type of music are you creating?
Jeanie: Yes I am back in the studio, but have two great people writing material for me for R&B and Contemp jazz.
John: Many may be surprised to know that you are also an actress. You have performed with Ms. Jennifer Holiday in the theater production of "Mahalia Sing" celebrating the life of the great gospel singer, Ms. Mahalia Jackson. Later during its run, you replaced Ms. Holiday. I would imagine a whole lot of souls were saved. Coming out every night and witnessing to the saved and unsaved, can you share with me those moments?
Jeanie: I didn't perform with Jennifer although we're friends, but did replace her in "Sing Mahalia Sing" and just recently played her again in the SF run of MAHALIA for the Lorraine Hansbury theatre ....at the Post Street Theatre.
John: When you are not working, how do you spend your time off?
Jeanie: Writing music, playing with my Dog Taco (Chihuahua) and doing fun things with my family.
John: What's the difference between your fans in the USA and your European fans?
Jeanie: American fans seem to drop you or tire of you quickly.....but the European fans are fans forever....although some of my fans here in America have been very loyal.
John: If you were not a performer, what would have been your career choice?
Jeanie: Teach music in High School.
John: What's your favorite color?
Jeanie: Probably Fushia, or Turquoise.
John: What performer would you love to perform with?
Jeanie: Johnny Mathis and Prince....could you make it happen? lolllll. I think Johnny is retired, but still sings his face off.(Hopefully Prince and/or Mr. Johnny Mathis will come across this article and make Ms. Tracy's dream come true.)
John: I don't know if you've checked out "You-Tube" there are a lot of videos with you singing, carrying on, being the true diva that you are. Are you a diva?
Jeanie: I know....who put's that stuff on...some of it , looks like the Blair witch Project....some of them you have to turn side ways to look at it. (laughing)
John: It appears that your fan base is mostly gay. Why do you think that the gay community have embraced and love you so much?
Jeanie: Because of my positive messages in my songs and I was introduced to them being with Sylvester and I fell in love with the community...
John: A lot of people you know and I know, have passed away from AIDS. Do you lend your celebrity to any causes?
Jeanie: Always...this year, I have done four charity events......
John: When you listen to music, who do you listen to at this moment?
Jeanie: I listen to all types of music...I love Beyonce, Rascal Flats, Black-eyed peas, Mary J. Blige and many others....
John: Is there a website or a place where your fans can purchase your music?
Jeanie: I-tunes, master Beat, Beat Port.
John: Here my last question. What would your fans be surprised to learn about you?
Jeanie: I love to cook!!!!...Love Opera!!!!!
I would like to thank Ms. Jeanie Tracy for sharing her journey with us. Continue to shine bright Ms. Tracy, you are a star. To contact Ms. Tracy go to "Facebook" or to: webmaster@jeanietracy.com

A New Talented Force

By Sr. Entertainment Correspondent & Chief Editor, John Frazier

Videos like "Eminem Gets Spanked" and "Death Threat" where this artist diss's Eminem, who in the past was not a friend to the gay community, are popping up all over "You-tube". The force behind this is Gambrell Francois. But who is he? The videos are spoken in street-thug English rap. The language is strong, raw and full of profanity and yet done extremely professional and respectful when it comes to diva, Ms. Mariah Carey. This gentleman loves Mariah. Words like obsession come to mind, when it comes to Gambrell's love for the diva. But who is he? He's a singer, model and writer. He's 20, who's bold and wise beyond his years.

According to his bio: Gambrell Francois was born in 1991 on July 31st in Hartford Connecticut. When Gambrell Francois was younger, he was always an invisible wall to his peers .no one really liked Gambrell. His numbers of friends were very limited at a young age. But one day Gambrell had gotten on his knees to pray for a successful life, soon that miracle dream came true, and all of the negativity towards Gambrell had changed. Gambrell had first started writing his first song in (2004) influenced by his best female friend /Songwriter Natalie Rodriguez. His first lyric was called, "Can't Stop". Sooner or later Gambrell began to take music more seriously after being inspired & Influenced by the pop diva Mariah Carey's (2005) hit single, "We Belong Together". Then soon Mariah Carey had become Gambrell's # 1 Best Selling female idol. After becoming good friends with Rapper, Jeffery Johnson & Roderick Graham, Gambrell & Jeffery had decided to work on the first Single called, "I'm Sprung Baby Girl", which soon became a neighborhood hit. They were scheduled to include a remix (feat) Rodrick Ghram, but before that could even happen the band had already decided to go their separate ways. Gambrell had several Backup Rappers and singers in the past, including Gambrell's Backup singer Ariel Novas who backup singed for Gambrell's hit singles, "Secret Lover" & "This World Needs A Change" From Gambrell's Second Album, "How I Feel", at a Teen's Talent Show In Dade City Florida Gambrell started his first album in (2008), Which is called "Love Heartache" that includes his hit singles "J's On My Feet". & "Apologize. Gambrell had performed live in many communities numerous times. Including in churches, using his younger sister Tatiana Lynch to backup sang for Gambrell, when she was only 8.Gambrell aroused to quick stardom when he decided to write & Direct his own soap opera called, "A Heaven with No Angels". Gambrell took his big break mostly in the year (2008) later that year Gambrell Decided to release his firt and own beauty magazine line called, "Beauty Is Business". This gave Gambrell an extra push through his Career.....

Soon Gambrell decided to take a bigger boost in his career by inventing his own Game Show called, "Celebrity Countdown". (2008) was Gambrell's year, says many friends and fans. Yes it was, because that year Gambrell was managing to accomplish so much even after all of the family tragic Gambrell had suffered before the years. Gambrell had got to stand in front of mics, sign autographs and pose sexy for the internet. Who wouldn't want to live Gambrell's life right now? Oh and we cannot forget about Gambrell trying to release his new album "V-Charge" at the end of (2008). In (2009) Gambrell is Fresh & New! No more Jerry curls & no more baggy fitless clothes, Gambrell had brought a new style to reveal his sexiness. Since he wasn't able to release his 3rd album, "V-Charge" in (2008), Gambrell had made it official that (2009) will have it! Including with hit single from the album "Stay Calm". No one can't say that Gambrell's career isn't shooting up from boring to exciting this year. Gambrell has moved from the long life journey in ..Florida.., and back to his hometown ....Hartford.. ..Connecticut.... this year. No more photographers like Mary McKnight & Joseph Gadson. This year Gambrell had chosen his own personal photographer, and this time Gambrell says, anything and everything goes. Speaking of sexy photography, Gambrell is making serious plans about starting his own reality show called, "The Bad & Sexy Club".

Gambrell Francois is also the 5th cousin of "The King Of Pop" Michael Jackson. Gambrell had his first modeling audition for an upcoming agency called "Kencar Fashion Magazine", owned by Carolyn Adams in Hartford Connecticut on May 20th 2009. Gambrell was 1 of the models chosen for "Kencar", other work followed; he worked as one of Carolyn's model. He then became one of her assistance's. He was paid by Carolyn to help her do her model searches between Connecticut n New York. Gambrell Francois later in June 2009 found model J. Figgs A.K.A Jonathan Figureoa during the model search. Later the two began becoming great friends and decided to start they own TV Show called. "G. & J. Entertainment TV". They have also decided to start their own horror film called, "My Evil Twin". Figgs also did clips from Gambrell's Reality show, "The Bad & Sexy Club.

After reading his bio, I really wanted to know more about this young entertainer, who could become our next Grace Jones, Prince, Lady GaGa or Michael Jackson. I reached out to him and he said, yes, he would grant me an interview. Well, he didn't say "grant", but…….

INTERVIEW:
John: Thank you for granting me an interview. Who are you? Who are you at this moment in time?
Gambrell: Well, Gambrell Francois, of course, the reason why I said, of course is because I can't be duplicated or replaced. (Then he pulsed for a second to collect his thoughts) I'm a talented individual; I'm seeking to have that chance to blow-up, basically.
John: I understand that you are the 5th cousin to the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson. Is it true? And if so, have you met the Jackson family?
Gambrell: The Michael Jackson 100% true, he's my fifth cousin. My grandmother told me this when I was younger, I didn't believe it myself, since I had experienced some disappointments during the childhood. It was rumored that my mother had died, which wasn't true. When we reunited, this was the first thing that my grandmother told my mother. She actually had a picture of him when he was much younger, sitting on her lap. She wanted me to keep the picture and use it for something, but I didn't want it to seem like I was capitalizing on the name of Michael Jackson, to get out there, that wouldn't work.
John: You are a model, singer, actor, which of these talents do you most enjoy?
Gambrell: Well, my most talent, I would say, acting. I was going to say modeling, but I'm going to say acting. Acting is what I'm most passionate in. I have this thing will I'm living three different lives, I have to drop this to be a model, I have to drop this to be a singer and drop this to be an actor.
John: I've noticed that you have a lot of anger for the rapper, Eminem. We are aware that Eminem has a dislike for beautiful singer, songwriter and producer, Ms. Mariah Carey. Why have you decided to go after Eminem on You-Tube?
Gambrell: (laughs, almost shy like) Oh, my God.
John: Oh, you like that question? (laughing)
Gambrell: Actually it's not the first time it's been asked, thanks to google. This whole Eminem thing, it's kind of outrageous now. It wasn't a set plan to become a part of this, I won't say that I'm a fan of hers, which would seem that I'm beneath her, I idolize her. I felt that it was wrong that she had gotten disrespected and everything.
John: Have you gotten feedback? And have you heard from Ms. Mariah Carey?
Gambrell: I did get a lot of comments, more than usual, from my fans -vs.- Eminem fans. I'm pretty sure, I'm positive that Mariah knows what's going on. But she's not going to respond, leaked onto her facebook, when doing a search (googled) it's the first thing that pops up. I did make a mistake last week, that I shouldn't have done, I made this decision myself, I came out with a song (in reference to his daughter, he now feels remorseful for) I now regret. Eminem fans are saying, yeah you're gay, but now Eminem supports gay marriage, now what?
John: You are a young brother, yet you have done so much, career wise. Would you like to share with us, what you're working on now?
Gambrell: Ok, what I'm working on now, I'm trying to let this Eminem thing fade away first, and after that, I am working on a new project, there's a new movie, I don't know if you're seen my last movie, "The Case of The Ex?"
John: I went through a lot of your stuff, I probably have. (laughing)
Gambrell: So my next movie is going to be called, I'm not sure, it's going to be weird, and I have a music video coming out soon, it will be shot in a couple of weeks. It's back and forth, because you know, I'm living three different lives.
John: On your song, "Eminem Fan Diss- "Oh I'm Gay?" it seems that Eminem has had a change of heart and now agrees with gay marriage. Do you think that you can forgive him for his prior hatred towards the gay community?
Gambrell: You know, it's not about that. It's not about what he has said about the gay community. Who cares about what Eminem has said about the gay community? You're (Eminem fans) gay bashing me, but Eminem has come out to support gay marriage. And to be honest with you, I don't even support gay marriage.
John: Why is that?
Gambrell: Well, oh my God.
John: Are you a church boy?
Gambrell: No, it's something that I went through was I was a kid. Both of my uncles were gay, did some terrible things to me, nothing sexual, it's not about me being or them being gay, they told me that I was ugly, gave me $300.00, said go do something to make yourself feel better, there's so much emotion…… to get back to the question, why I don't support gay marriage, I don't why?
John: Well, you know you're young, so that could change, you could meet somebody and fall in love, and say, "oh ok, now I get it".
Gambrell: That's actually true.
John: You can invite me to the wedding. (We both laughed) Have you met Ms. Mariah Carey? And if so, what was that experience like? If not, what would you like Ms. Carey to know?
Gambrell: Mariah Carey? (Just at that moment, one of Ms. Carey's instrumentals began to play in the background, he was taken aback). I've had many chances to met Mariah Carey but I turned it down. There's something that I'm not ready for, if I were to meet Mariah Carey, there would not be a click with me and her because we both have this, I'm a divo, I'm a guy, and she has this diva attitude, it would be a horrible mix-up. I can't listen to what others have to say, since people are saying all kinds of things on the internet that aren't true, I'm just going to take that time to relax. I mean, I love Mariah, she's my idol, she's who I am today, this is why I'm taking a risk with this Eminem thing, I know he's probably heard about it, three video's are already out, I'm sure he's heard at least about one of them. His people are probably in the studio now, working on a reply to one of my videos.
John: But that could be a blessing for you.
Gambrell: Yeah, that's true, but as for Mariah, I love Mariah and if I didn't I wouldn't be taking the risk that I'm taking. I hope that this is worth it, I hope that she doesn't come around saying, "Why is he doing this?"
John: I was surprise to find out that you're 6'3. How old were you when you started to model?
Gambrell: I started to model at the age of 14, I was always the center of attention in school, the kids use to pick on me. I went to jail just for being me.
John: You did why? (I couldn't believe what I was hearing)
Gambrell: I went to jail, juvenile detention actually. At the time I liked females and I went to help this girl with her locker, in the meantime, everyone was saying Gambrell is so ugly, so the girl needed help opening her locker and I had a fingernail file which I used to try to get it open but it wouldn't work. About an hour later, the police approached me, saying that I tried to stab her, I said "What? So they took me away to juvenile and a year later, I returned looking like this! And everybody was like, "That's not him, that's not him", and she (the locker girl) tried to talk to me, I was like, "Please I've moved on".
John: If you could predict the future, where do you see yourself 5 years from now?
Gambrell: Five years from now………. I see myself as a Superstar on the big screen, like it's supposed to be; my not having to take any nonsense from other people. You know I came out with a new "Dream" magazine?
John: Yes, I saw the cover.
Gambrell: (Then he went back to the question) I will be signing autographs. In the near future I will be coming out with a reality show.
John: What performer(s) would you like to work with (in the studio)?
Gambrell: To be honest, I'm more of an independent person, I do everything, you see my magazine, I do everything myself. Otherwise, you have this other person, trying to take over, trying to do everything they way. I just don't want to deal with any drama, so I do it all my way. (What I found interesting is his career path could be like other divas that were once considered not to be beautiful or talented, like Ms. Barbra Streisand, Cher, Ms. Diana Ross. Perhaps the ugly duckling has turned into the beautiful swan and is ready to fly).
John: A lot of the older gay men and women do not like rap music mainly because of belief of hatred towards the community, yet a lot of our younger gays and lesbians appear to have embraced rap music. In your opinion, why is this?
Gambrell: Well because most rap has gay bashing, they use that but it's the way they sell albums, believe it or not. I believe that they mean half of the stuff that they're saying, they want to sell albums. It's like this whole Eminem thing, years ago, he was making these stupid songs, gay this, gay that and now he's lifting Elton John's hand and supporting gay marriage. I mean, Eminem didn't this (negative gay comments and lyrics) the entire time. And who knows.
John: For all we know he could be on the down low.
Gambrell: Hello. (As in amen somebody)
John: It's like if the guy wants to have man to man sex, they're saying, "I want to get freaky". What does that mean? It's not freaky for me, it's natural for me.
Gambrell: In the entertainment business, that's all it is. They are bi-sexual or closeted. I mentioned that in the Eminem song.
John: You are a handsome, sexy man. You are mature. You have a vision? Are you single? If so, why? And if you are involved, how long?
Gambrell: I am single, I know you had to see the movie, "In Case of the Ex", 10 years later I come back. Every movie what I do, it's always based on something that happened in my life. I can't find someone who's going to be faithful. Yes, I am a divo.
John: Do you think that you're being a divo to protect yourself from being hurt?
Gambrell: Yes, of course, and what I went through when I was younger, when I didn't know what a divo was. Now I can walk down the street, and people will say, "Oh you're so beautiful" or they recognize me. (It's apparent that Gambrell still hurts from the treatment he experienced as a child). There are times when I have an emotion breakdown, where I want to kill myself. (As for the love life) I'm talking to someone right now.
John: Do you date older guys?
Gambrell: I do. Can't date anyone younger than me.
John: It sounds like you have a Cinderella story, your childhood?
Gambrell: I did, there's why I relate to Mariah because we both have that Cinderella story going on, her humble beginnings. She got famous at 19, I'm 19 now; this is it.
John: Do you sleep in the nude?
Gambrell: As in butt-naked?
John: Yep
Gambrell: No! (Again, that little boy came out). I tried that, but I can't do that actually, it does not work for me.
John: And why is that?
Gambrell: I don't know, but isn't that weird though.
John: Yep, you have a lot of photos where you are nude or almost nude.
Gambrell: Yeah, when people see me, I'm wearing almost no clothes, just a vest and body oiled down. But no, I don't sleep naked; I walk around the house with a shirt and shorts.
John: What word to you hate?
Gambrell: Which word do I hate? I hate………….. I use to hate the word faggot but after this whole Eminem thing, I've changed a lot. That word can't hurt me.
John: Will you ever write your life story?
Gambrell: I have started to write it, since the things I went through were horrible, I've started to do a lot of interviews, sharing the experiences of my life, it's a little emotional at times.
John: Are you in counseling or therapy?
Gambrell: No, because I'm a divo, I feel that no one really cares about what you went through; I feel that the counselor will listen to my story and collect a check. I can go to the mirror and talk to myself about my problems, my issues and how to cope with it. They will pretend to care, as they are thinking about they own families, what they are going to cook for dinner, things like that.
John: But a therapist, they job is not to care but to help you work through certain issues.
Gambrell: Yeah, that's true, but I prefer to work through it myself.
John: And here's my last question, what would you like to be legendary for?
Gambrell: (He pulsed for a second, to inhale, then he repeated the question) I would like to be legendary for a young teen who went through hell and did not allow nobody to continue to drag him down, he was able to follow his dreams no matter what, whether it was with family/friends, he was able to be successful and conquer his dreams. It is unfortunate you have teens like me committing suicide, going in and out of jail; I mean I'm not a teenager anymore, I just celebrated a birthday, but I would like to be an example to other troubled youth, there's light at the end of the tunnel.
John: Thank you so much for speaking with me. I wish you continued success.(Readers, I think I have may have found a new friend and little brother. Support him and his dream, he's truly talented)

The Coming

By Sr. Entertainment Correspondent & Chief Editor, John Frazier

Back in May 2008 I have the opportunity to interview Phylle. I can't believe it has been over two years since that first chit chat. In the two years, vocally, he has gone from good to great. In the first article, I mentioned that he has G.Q, looks and could easier be a model on any runway.

He's, 6'3 and oozing sex and classic charm. Well I'm happy to say, that hasn't changed. His vocal style reminds one of the late Marvin Gaye and El DeBarge and yet, he's unique. Phylle is pronounced Philly. He doesn't pretend to be thuggish and yet has an urban feel to his music and his look.

Interview:
John: Thanks for giving me a second interview, the first was with GBMNews back in May 2008, now two years later, it's "Chit Chat".
Phylle: Yeah, it's been two years. (We both laughed)
John: Let's start by talking about your new music. I love "Choose For You". Especially when you say, "I'm going to choose me". What inspired you to do this song?
Phylle: (A nervous laugh) Well it was male version of "The Girl Is Mine". It's the girl is dealing with two dudes, but we don't know about each other. We find out about each other, but instead of being mad with each other, we tell the girl, you need to choose. Who's it going to be? If you can't choose, then I will choose for you, I will choose myself.
John: "It Ain't Love", is another song that speaks about being in love and some of love's issues.
Phylle: Its about relationships, it's like you're in love but your partner doesn't trust you. It's like every time you turn around, she's sneaking in my phone, she's going through my clothes, my stuff, pockets, it's like if you can't trust me, you can't love me, it ain't love.
John: Was this something that you're going through at this time?
Phylle: Well actually, no, I was just a mixture of situations and talking to friends and seeing how relationships happen and things go down, it's kind of like, "Hey". I've been in that kind of situation myself. It's like if you don't trust me, then it's more like an infatuation.
John: "Two Way Street", the intro has a little rock thing and I love the piano. Again, this is about drama and love. Vocally you have become a much stronger singer. It sounds like you have lived what you're singing about. When you listened back to the tracks were you surprised at how much you revealed through your songs?
Phylle: Definitely, I did. It's more emotional; I felt the emotion more or less. When I listen back to the song, I can picture the situation or the feeling of going through that situation. It's more personal, I guess.
John: I believe this album is going to be the one that blows you out and up to number 1. It's truly amazing.
Phylle: Wow, I hope so. (laughing) I hope so.
John: Do you feel like you can almost taste that moment, when your life will change forever? What that feeling like?
Phylle: Yeah, I do, it's like you just work hard and stay focused, work on myself, and my craft, so don't know when that moments going to be or how it's going to be, but when it does happen, I'm still on continue my hustle and make sure I can maintain and have longevity doing what I love to do.
John: "What I'm Looking For", is more positive yet it still flows with the mood of the rest of the album. I love albums that you can let the complete CD play and this is one of those albums. Was that the plan, to make a concept album?
Phylle: I hope so. (In his fans playing the complete CD) When I decided on this project, I wanted to give it a Pop, R&B kind type of feel. It's more of a popular music with an upbeat kind of thing. "The One" (this is his first album) had a dark twist to it feel about it. This is more light but still has the emotion to it. "What I'm Looking For", since I'm an 80's baby, it was like my dedication to the 80's, that's what I was going for. Wanted it to give it like Robert Palmer who had the ladies all around him. (Addict to Love" video). That's the kind of feel that I was going for; something that was catchy but saying something. I wanted something that you can play in the club.
John: "The Coming", what does it mean?

Phylle: It means I'm coming into my own. This time around I'm more me. Like in the song I say, "Thank you for your opinion but I found my own. Everybody had an opinion the first time around ("The One" album) and input, but this time I kind of went outside the box.
John: What will be the first single?
Phylle: "Two Way Street"
John: Do you have video for this?
Phylle: No not yet, but we are working on it.
John: Will you be going on tour and if so, with who?
Phylle: We are working on that right one but I don't want to say anything till it's been finalized but I will keep you update as things progress.
John: Are you currently involved?
Phylle: I am not. I've very much single.
John: Why not?
Phylle: I am married to my music, right now. It's like a constant hustle. Being in the entertainment (business) you run into so many people, people know you, it's hard to have a relationship and have that trust.
John: If you were looking, what type of lady are you looking for?
Phylle: Someone down to earth. I love natural beauty, not saying that there's something wrong with makeup and all of that, but natural beauty to me. Someone who's really, really humble, classy and able to adapt to different environments, like if we go to a sports bar, we can kick it. If we go to a five star restaurant she will know how to carry herself.
John: Are you still living in ATL?
Phylle: I am.
John: During your down time, how do you relax?
Phylle: How do I relax? Actually, I like to do home improvement things. Like this week, I'm pretty much free, so I'm staying to paint my house, paint the porch. I enjoy doing stuff like that.
John: Do you live alone?

Phylle: Yes, I do.
John: Not that it matters but are you into women of color?
Phylle: Yes, I love our black women. I see beauty in all.
John: I love the tattoos, what made you decide on using your body as a place of art?
Phylle: I feel that my tattoos are an expressing myself, of who I am. All of my tattoos mean something, means something eternal.
John: I know you have a tattoo on your back; do you have any on other parts of your body?
Phylle: On my arms, both arms, my chest, my shoulder, my stomach and on my neck.
John: It seems like every singer goes into acting and every actor wishes he/she could sing. Are you interested in acting?
Phylle: Actually I am. We've been looking at a couple of things. We are trying to find the right thing to jump on, we don't want to go in the wrong direction. I have taken acting reasons, when I was younger. The entertainment business has always been something that I was interested in. It's just natural for me. If you're doing a video you have to act out the song, it's kind of a gateway.
John: Here are a few questions where you have a choice between two people, items, things like that. Boxers or briefs?
Phylle: boxer briefs (laughing)
John: Puffy or 50 cents?
Phylle: I'm going to have to roll with Puffy
John: Jennifer Hudson or Jennifer Holiday?
Phylle: Jennifer Hudson (laughing hard)
John: Jill Scott or Erykah Badu?
Phylle: Wow that's hard…….(thinking) I love Erykah but I'm going to have to hold it down with Jill Scott.
John: There are said to be nude photos of Jamie Foxx and a lot of other male entertainers. Would you ever consider posing nude?
Phylle: Would I consider posing nude, wow? It would have to be artistic, it would have to be something that I wouldn't be a shamed of, something that I could, that I would want my mother to see. (Many of his decisions are discussed with his mother. They have a very close relationship). "I would never do something that would embarrass her".
John: How many siblings do you have?
Phylle: I have 2 older sisters.
John: Are they entertainers too.
Phylle: No, they are interval, they are more private people.
John: And you?
Phylle: I consider myself as a shy, you're nervous before you go on stage; however that energy turns into something else. You go someplace else. People when they meet me, I'm kind of laid back. When I go out with friends, I'm the one who's in the background.
John: Now let's get back to your new album, what makes this one different than the first album?
Phylle: The CD is more out of the box per say, has R&B with a Pop edge. We branched out with all styles of music.
John: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Phylle: In 5 years, I see, working on my 4 projects. Hopefully I will be touring, I plan to be a household name.
John: Would yourself writing your life story?
Phylle: That's something I would consider. As I'm not just a musician, I'm also a writer too. We go through trials and tribulations, showing others that if I can do you, so can you. There are things that you go through in life that you share with others.
John: You have or will have a gay audience. Are you uncomfortable with that?
Phylle: Oh, no, actually (laughing) when I chose the track, "Choose For You", the producer said, they will probably play this in gay clubs, right? I was like, "Hey a fan is a fan, I love you too".
John: To buy any of your music, where can it be purchased?
Phylle: On I-tunes, it's going to be digital right now. The first single, we are working on getting radio play. The complete album should be ready for release the first of the year.
John: Is it difficult, getting radio play?
Phylle: Somewhat it is, it's all in who you know. It's all about business. Business comes first, and then the music comes second. It's all part of the game.
John: I want an autographed copy, is that possible?
Phylle: I can get that to you once I'm finished; I will a copy out to you. You know I've been back a lot of positive feedback on this project. The album kind of just flows.
John: The CD is different; it doesn't sound like the same person.
Phylle: Yes, I addressed that in the song, saying "I've changed my tone." I'm imaging has changed, I'm grown as a person, I've grown as an artist. I've worked on different things. I have a formula that works for me now. As for grow older you become conscious in yourself and love what you do, and they are people who like you, you want to stay true to them.
John: Are you friends or friendly with Keri Hilson. Are you friends?
Phylle: We've met a few times; I was at her birthday party. We're not best buds, but I've seen her around in Atlanta, we know each other when we see each other.
John: How tall are you?
Phylle: I'm 6 '3.
Off the interview, he and I spoke about being nervous before an interview. We are proud to say that GBMNews and I were the first to interview this star on the rise. And you never forget your first.
John: Thank you so much for the interview and continued success. I'm extremely proud of your work and equally proud at how you're remained so grounded.
Phylle: I just want to thank my parents who took the time to be parents. Like today, I was going to put this on "facebook", fellows, if I see another guy walk through a door, a lady's going and he doesn't hold the door open for her……… my father taught me to hold the door, open and close the door for ladies. (He's an old school kind of gentleman).

Subway Stories

By Sr. Entertainment Correspondent & Chief Editor, John Frazier

For the last few weeks, Mr. Greg Clifton and I have been trying to schedule an agreed time to do his interview. This new talent has been in NYC for the past 13 years. When we were able to "chit chat", he'd left one business meeting and was on his way to another. Thank God for cell phones. He informed me that he's a true New Yorker, as he can eat, talk on the phone and walk at the same time. I have a feeling that he has found or should I say, adopted the beat of the concrete jungle.

Mr. Clifton, in my opinion, will one day be famous. He's highly educated, this coupled with a vision and he's also driven to be successful. He's the kind of personality that should be interviewed in person and not by telephone. Perhaps, moving forward this will become possible. I recorded our conversation, however, he speaks extremely fast as this is how his mind operates. So I selected the core, of what I felt was the important information in regard to his reality series, "Subway Stories".

THE INTERVIEW:
John: Your "Subway Stories" would you be able to tell us briefly what it is?
Greg: It's a show about people, and I use the forum of subways, from the time that I've moved to New York, I have not had a car. And my life as a commuter was primarily focused, and relied upon public transportation. I'm also a people watcher by nature. (Greg found himself not happy in his professional life and at the crossroads, so he decided to change gear) I decided to tap into this creative bug that was in me, I decided to explore the arts. That's when I decided to explore videography.
John: Back in the 80's, I believe on cable, there was a Subways stories. What makes yours different?
Greg: HBO had a series, which was a reenactment; I believe Rosie Perez starred in an episode. What's the difference is between that show and mine is I'm allowing people to share their own personal stories. We talk about literature, we talk about movies, we talk about all the things that take place on a subway.
John: Now your project "Subway Stories" will allow traveling all around the world. What places are you excited to see?
Greg: I've been to Shanghai, China, I've been to London, I've been to Hamburg, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia , and in the future I want to go to wherever I can. I definitely want to hit Chicago, Montreal, I would love to go to Mexico City, the "I" in the pie is I would love to go to Moscow and Paris, which supposing to have the most beautiful subways in the world.
John: I know you will not be traveling alone. About how many people in your group?
Greg: One, me.
John: I've noticed in your photos, you are for the most part, clowning around. Are you a jokester?
Greg: I don't consider myself a jokester. I do consider myself a personality. I'm very light; most of my friends will tell you that stress doesn't exist in my life. There are too many things to be thankful for, I see the world in a positive light, I don't see the world for its negative components.
John: On your facebook page, you are quoted as saying, "I'm on a mission to bring "reality" back to Reality TV". What do you mean?
Greg: What I mean is bring it, you know, I'm a people watcher and I've noticed is that it's fabricated. (He then gave the ABC series, "The Bachelor", as an example)
John: Will "Subway Series" be seen on television at this time?
Greg: I'm trying to make it happen, I'm talking to people. However I'm not limited to "Subway Stories", I'm involved a few other projects.
John: What do you do on your down time? How do you relax?
Greg: (pulse)……………... and there's silence. (laughing) Next question, please. I'm at a stage in my life, where there's no down time, I'm having so much fun doing all the things that I'm doing. Since I've started this, I will take a break, visit my family and so forth. I've been having so much fun filming, "Subway Stories", I have a very active social life. My down time is work in motion, but for the first time in my life, I'm having fun doing what I'm doing.
John: Are you single, married or engaged?
Greg: I'm 100% focused on my career.
John: Are you straight, gay or bi-sexual?
Greg: I'm monogamist.
John: What do you hope for "Subway Stories" within five years?
Greg: In 5 years I hope that its international, I will be on networks here in the United States and abroad.
John: Working in film, who would be your idea l cast? Who would you like to work with?
Greg: I'm working with BeBe Zahara, the first winner of RaPaul's Drag Race. BeBe's single will be dropping this week. I believe what your "Chit Chat" audience will find interesting is BeBe Zahara and also Britney Houston. (If you "You Tube", you will be able to view Britney Houston's video) Answer to your question, people I would like to work with are people who are interesting and people who have a story to tell. I want to work with people who are real. I'm not a celebrity driven artist; I'm a character driven artist.
John: Are you directing the video?
Greg: I produced the record and am editing it. When this issue is up, the record will have already been released.
John: For "Subway Stories", you are the producer, director, editor and photographer. It's almost like you are a one man band. Are you a control freak?
Greg: I'm not a control freak, when the monies aren't there it's hard to find people who will support. Sometimes when you want to get things done, you have to do it yourself. It's not a control thing; it's more of a financial thing at this moment. (He also mentioned that he sometimes collaborates with Antwone Tompkins.)
John: You know Gabby from "Precious" who played "Precious", her mother sings in the subway. Is she in your film?
Greg: I never had the opportunity to find her. But I will say this, Gabby's mother is not the only talented person singing in the subway. (Greg hopes to shine a light on the other talents in the subway, that otherwise may not have that chance to be discovered.)
John: Here's my last question, what would we be surprised to learn about you?
Greg: I have a lot more created things to come; I have more than "Subway Stories" to come.
John: How can someone get in touch with you?
Greg: Visit my website: www.GregClif.com and also become a fan of mine at "FaceBook", to follow "Subway Stories".
Thank you Greg. We wish you continued success.

Dwight "Allen" O'neal

By Sr. Entertainment Correspondent & Chief Editor, John Frazier

In March 2008, I had the opportunity of interviewing a young man with an intense imagination. Dwight Allen Neal is the executive Producer/Creator of a landmark series called, "Christopher Street", which was the first of its kind, based in NYC. At that time, Dwight explained that he wanted to show the audience points on self-love. It was a tall order for someone so young.

I've followed his career and he's gone from someone unknown to being the belle of the ball in the gay community. I would imagine experience has changed him but his focus is still the same. Dwight's mission is about uplifting, educating and enlightening those in our communities.

Dwight is funny, straight forward, charming, sexy, handsome, shoots straight from the hip and he keeps it real. He's a man with a dream. Words like assertive, empowered, driven, confidence, smart and a heart of gold comes to mind when describing Mr. O'Neal. He's about the positive side of being a person who's young, gay and of color. The word can't is not in his vocabulary.

INTERVIEW:
John: Do you prefer to be called Dwight or Allen?
Dwight: My friends call me Dwight.
John: Are you dating Bry'Nt (the rapper who's gay)?
Dwight: Am I dating Bry'Nt? No I'm not.
John: I saw the video where the two of you were in Central Park, on a date.
Dwight: Yeah, we did an episode on my show together. Nothing came of it, no love. He's a good friend.
John: Who are you today at this moment in time?
Dwight: Today, I would like to say, today. Wow, that's a good question. (He thought about it for a second before answering.) Within the last few years I've learned a lot and I'm still learning more about myself every day. I've come very far and I'm proud of myself. I can look in the mirror and honestly say that I love myself. I can't say that I've always felt this way. I didn't start to love myself till I got into my mid 20's.
John: You are extremely busy man, how do you relax?
Dwight: (He pulsed a second before answering) Watching "The Game" on BET. (laugh) I try to catch up on television, but it's been really difficult, I haven't had time off in a year, like from August 3rd, 2009 to August 10, 2010 and I'm still going. I'm looking forward to October to take a break. I'm planning the "Flavamen Blatino Awards"(ceremony was Labor Day Weekend in Atlanta, GA), I'm also planning things with Glo TV, have been filming for my new show, I've been on the promotional tour, I love it, I'm a make-up artist too. I've been very, very busy.
John: I know the DVD is out for "Christopher Street", do you have any new releases that we should keep an eye out for?
Dwight: Actually I'm really pushing what's on "amazon" right now. All the money were received from the show and all the royalties I'm reinvesting back into the show, that's really exciting. We are in production with some new stuff; there will be some new characters introduced, a lot of twist and turns, a new story line, a lot of exciting things for GLOtvNetwork. This is a new network that focuses on the urban LBGT community. It's going to be available along the board in the United States. There were free subscriptions till July 31, but I'm not sure of the pricing. Anyone interested should go to the website.
John: Lets go back, how old were you when you realized that you liked boys?
Dwight: I was three. I have my first boyfriend at age 4; we got married in front of a tree in the woods. We were married from ages 4 to 7. Then he broke up with me for a girl.
John: (laughing) Wow, that's cute. NYC has finally approved into law, gay marriage. What's your opinion on gay marriage? (Now before I start to get letters and e-mails stating it's not true, we know this already. Dwight called me back as he lives in NYC. I confused it with California for some reason, perhaps wishful thinking since I'm a native, born & raised in NYC)
Dwight: That's amazing because I think everyone should have a choice on who they want to be with as far as sex, as far as social status, who am I to tell you what to do with your life. Equality should be just that equal; equality should be across the board. I really feel like in the past, in the 40's and the 50's, my ancestors, my grandparents, all fought to be equal, to be able to eat in a restaurant with people who were considered themselves better at that time. It's the same thing for gay rights.
John: Do you want to have children? And if yes, how many?
Dwight: I want kids, one or two. I want to find the right person and in that future, have kids.
John: How old are you?
Dwight: I'm 25……. plus one. I recently celebrated my 26 birthday this year, so I've agreed that I'm not ageing after age 25, next year I will celebrating my 25th and two years from now my 25th, every birthday after, I will celebrate my 25th. (laughing)
John: So you are going to have a picture in the closet like, Dorian Gray that's getting older, while you stay young, right?
Dwight: (laughing) Yeah, I like that, the picture will get older, but I will stay young. Look at Stacey Dash, she looks absolutely amazing.
John: Yes, she does.
Dwight: She's like in her mid-40's.
John: She's always playing the teenage parts, it's like when are you going to get old.
Dwight: I think she has 3 kids too.
John: I saw your interview, when you asked Bry'nt a few questions, so I thought I would ask you a few myself. Briefs or boxers?
Dwight: Briefs.
John: Diana Ross or Beyonce?
Dwight: Beyonce.
John: Aretha or Patti?
Dwight: Aretha.
John: Barbra Streisand or Bette Midler?
Dwight: Bette Midler.
John: What word do you hate?
Dwight: Hate.
John: What's your favorite word?
Dwight: Mmm, favorite word, mmm, that's a hard one, mmm, fried catfish and watermelon. (We both started to laugh) No, my favorite word is positivity.
John: mmm, I like that. (laughing still)
John: Do you sleep in the nude?
Dwight: No, I don't.
John: When is your favorite time to make love or have sex? Morning, Noon or Night? And why?
Dwight: Morning, noon and night and it's because it's with someone special.
John: What is the curse of being a celebrity?
Dwight: What's the curse?
John: Yes, we know the up side, what's the down side?
Dwight: The expectations.
John: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Dwight: In 5 years I should be 25. (We both laughed)
John: Again. (laughing)
Dwight: 5 years, wow, I plan on being settled down in a steady relationship and to be a father at that point or definitely looking at options. I anticipate my career going very well, I will have a book release, the show will go really good, ultimately enjoying life.
John: What's your website address? Cause I don't know your website address.
Dwight: Well my new website is launching in two weeks, actually, which is www.onealappeal.com/ and also on face book, also FutureForward.net.
John: And here's my last question, what would your fans be surprised to learn about you?
Dwight: That I'm really shy.

You know, I've known Dwight for a few years now. Dwight is one of my favorite personalities. His energy is empowering and he's the real deal. He's grown within his career and as a person, but he's still the core of who Dwight is. He hasn't changed and grown in respect to his career. Still that favorite person that I interviewed two plus years ago is there. Continued success, Dwight. You are indeed a shining star.

For more information or to get in touch with Dwight, go to: http://www.onealappeal.com/. If by chance, this e-mail address is incorrect, please let me know.

Ms. Victoria Chase

By Sr. Entertainment Correspondent & Chief Editor, John Frazier

When I came across Ms. Victoria Chase's photos I felt that she would be an excellent person to interview. At first glance I thought that she was a transgender, transsexual, however, I was totally wrong. I reached out to her and she reached back accepting my request. I was so excited! What I learned is you can't judge a book by its cover. I thought I had learned that lesson years ago, but I needed a refreshers course.

The Interview:
John: Are you originally from NYC?
Victoria: I am originally from San Antonio, Texas and have resided in NYC for 10 years full-time.
John: You are an entertainer. As for your sexuality, what do you consider yourself? What is the proper/correct word?
Victoria: I am a gay male.
John: Do you live your life as female?
Victoria: No, It's My Job, ONLY!
John: What age were you when you realized that you should have been born female?
Victoria: I do not now, nor have I ever felt I should have been born female.
John: How long have you been an entertainer?
Victoria: I've been performing for 20 years.
John: Have you ever been discriminated against because of your lifestyle?
Victoria: Every gay person who is out of the closet has at some point been discriminated against or persecuted for being gay.
John: When you date, do you date gay men or straight men?
Victoria: I am only interested in gay men.
John: Where do you see yourself in five years?
Victoria: In 5 years I see myself still working hard and entertaining in NYC.
John: Do you have any regrets in your life thus far?
Victoria: I have no regrets in my life thus far. I'm very proud of who I am and what I've become.
John: Do you feel that LBGT community should be allowed to marry?
Victoria: I feel that every man or woman in this country should be able to marry the one they love if they so choose, no matter what their sexual identity may be.
John: What is the misconception about you and others of your gender?
Victoria: I believe a major misconception about drag queens/female impersonators is that they all want to be women, play the submissive sexual role, and that they are interested in heterosexual men.
John: If you could be born again, do you think you would want to be female?
Victoria: Absolutely NOT!
John: When performing, what are you trying to get across to your audience?
Victoria: When the show is all said and done, I want my audience to have had a great experience and a better outlook on life.
John: Do you have any children or wish to have children?
Victoria: I don't have children, and I'm not looking to have children. I enjoy being an uncle.
John: What was the reaction, when you revealed your true self to your family?
Victoria: My family has always been supportive and frequently travels to NYC to watch my shows and spend fun family time together.
John: Here's my last question, how can fans get in touch with you?
Victoria: Fans can reach me on FaceBook
Thank you so much Ms. Victoria Chase. You answered the questions, knowing that I thought you were/are transgender. You answered my questions anyway. You are indeed a lovely lady when performing and a true gentleman as well.

Julian Fantechi

By Sr. Entertainment Correspondent & Chief Editor, John Frazier

I can honestly say that I enjoyed this interview. This beautiful American male model, who could probably have any woman (or man) at his feet, turned out to be so humble, kind, honest and sincere. He's aware of what others see when he is looked upon, but once you're in his company you are very much aware that his soul, his spirit is just as alluring.

You may have seen him on "The Colbert Report" or "Ugly Betty", or maybe some television commercials. He's modeled for Saks 5th Avenue, Chase, Men's Health magazine, among many others.

Ladies and gentlemen here's Julian!

THE INTERVIEW:

John: I was so impressed, as when I did some research on you; I discovered that you have a Master's Degree and received a full scholarship. In your opinion, what is the misconception about models?
Julian: Yes I have a MA from NYU. Modeling is great and unless you are going to be a supermodel you need something more to fall back on, plus I love helping others and making a difference in their lives. My love is making this world a better place for others. Modeling can be a very self absorbing thing, every feature you have is scrutinized and you have to obsess over it. Sorry but I'm just a regular kick back guy from San Diego Ca. who likes to surf and mountain bike. I don't take myself too seriously.
John: How old were you when you realized that you could make money on your looks?
Julian: Well I was really into the fitness thing and when I was approached to do the fitness magazines I was like yeah this is cool. Getting paid to stay in shape.
John: You are heterosexual yet you have a huge gay following. Are you comfortable with this being part of your fan base?
Julian: Well my mom is a lesbian and I fully support her. Always felt comfortable in that world, lot's of artistic types who love culture and beauty. I'm the gayest straight man out there, lol.
John: Where's your favorite place in the world?
Julian: I love Hawaii, the ocean, the rain forest, the people. Absolutely love it there. Go back at least twice a year. Second favorite is Italy, the people and culture are unreal.
John: Your body is awesome. Will you come out with a fitness DVD?
Julian: Hmmm maybe, anyone out there want to produce one with me?
John: Are you recognized most of the time, when you're out and if so, how do you handle this?
Julian: People often think I am this actor on this show, guess I look like him. Or Dane Cook, but younger and more muscular.
John: I know you're an actor. Would you consider working on a soap opera?
Julian: Perhaps, if it's shot up in LA. I can't live in NY anymore. I'm west coast now baby.
John: In being extremely handsome, is this a blessing or a curse?
Julian: Lol, it is what it is. Looks change over the years, the heart is eternal.
John: During your down time, how do you relax?
Julian: I surf, go mountain biking and read.
John: What word do you hate?
Julian: Impossible.
John: What's your favorite sound?
Julian: The waves crashing against the shore.
John: As for your personality; if you could, what would you change about yourself?
Julian: Maybe learn to relax more.
John: As in looks, if you could, what would you change about yourself?
Julian: I'm born this way and I'm healthy. I'm happy with what I have.
John: Do you know how to cook? And if yes, what's your best meal?
Julian: I love seafood. I can grill up some awesome wild salmon.
John: Here's the last question. Where do you see yourself in five years?
Julian: Retired on the beach somewhere... (smile)

Thank you Mr. Julian Fantechi for taking some time to "chit chat" with us. We wish you continued success. Let's keep in touch.

Clever as a fox

By Sr. Entertainment Correspondent & Chief Editor, John Frazier

The characteristics of a fox: Intelligent, bright, quick, witty, brainy, smart, knowledgeable, sharp, dexterous and intellectual. He/She can be astute, cunning, and ingenious, all with a smile. Ms. Jessica Foxx is all of these things with a heart of gold. I found that when we chatted it was easy to discover why she's a celebrity, why she has a huge following.

She's been performing for over 25 years. She's performed in the best clubs. I can recall when she left a popular dance club in Kew Gardens, Queens, called, "Hatfields", to become host and first lady of a dance club called, "Crash", her fans and groupie's followed. Hatfield's was never really able to recover. So I was happily surprised and pleased when Ms. Foxx agreed to be interviewed. She's learned from the legends only to become one herself. Yet she's still reinventing herself, pushing her own personal levels to go higher, to become the best that she can be for herself.

The Interview:
John: Ms. Jessica Fox, I've known you for many years now. I remember the first time I saw you perform, I was like, "Who is she?" You were bold, dangerous, beautiful, sexy, smart, sassy and a comedian. You were like Millie Jackson and Bette Midler combined.
Jessica: I love Millie Jackson, she's a filthy pig, love her!
John: What performers inspired you?
Jessica: I really can't say that I was inspired by any one person in particular; I was just being me, natural. I was in venues that allowed me to find out what I was good at. And fortunately, I was good at a few different things. I appreciated many people's talents but I can't say that I imitated or copied any person.
John: At what age did you realize that you were different?
Jessica: I transitioned when I was 16, 17. I started performing when I was 20.
John: Many times we hear or read that someone who's had a sexual reassignment, he or she felt that they were born in the wrong body, was born the wrong sex? Was this your experience?
Jessica: When I was younger before I made my transition I knew something wasn't right. I was always hanging out with all boys; I would get mistaken for a lesbian. I didn't feel like, I hate to say the word faggot; I didn't feel like a cha cha queen. I just didn't feel…….. me. I met a few people who were transgender, who one of them would turned out to be my gay mother and she thought I was a lesbian. And then when I told her, no, no, she said, "Oh, you're one of us". And that's how I knew, she opened up the world of transgender, and she explained everything to me and I ran with it.
John: You grew up in Queens?
Jessica: I grew up in Forest Hills, baby.
John: What's the different between the Jessica Fox we see on stage and off stage?
Jessica: On stage bitchy, once in an article I was described as sharp tongue with re-trappable claws. And I thought, "How prosodic". But off stage in my private life, I'm extremely sensitive and the complete opposite of what you see on stage. Fortunately, I'm passable as well; in the daytime when I go out and handle my business I don't get clocked. I do get, "Are you Jessica Foxx?" But for the most part people don't know who I am, and I just live my life as a regular female and I'm very sensitive but that could be due to the hormones. My family, as a rule, were just emotional people.
John: I use to run into you at CVS. I would say, "Hello Ms. Foxx" and I would kiss you on the cheek. The people around us didn't have a clue.
Jessica: On Friday's I work at "Uncut" (dance club), which is on 8th Avenue 29th/30th, I'm there every Friday, I go early so I can bullshit with the people. And the "children" (another term for gay kids) are, "Wow, we never expected you to be like this". They thought that I was shady, constant shady, the way I'm on stage. (She ended this thought by saying) "Don't cross me, because I'm old school". Ouch!
John: Let's go back, was if difficult for you and your family, when you were learning to be your true self?
Jessica: No, my family was very accepting.
John: You are legend.
Jessica: I'm lucky to be a legend.
John: Will you ever write your life story?
Jessica: No, I don't think that I would sit down and do it on my own, but it's not out of the question (if she had perhaps a ghost writer or an assistant). My life would be pretty interesting.
John: I'm sure you have heard of the different "Houses" and "Balls".
Jessica: Yes, I use to walk "Balls", I was the only white child in Harlem on 125th Street and Lenox Avenue at the Elk Lounge, my gay mother was Ms. Dorian Corey. I'm from the house of Corey. (Ms. Dorian Corey was one of the featured stars in the movie, "Paris Is Burning")
John: I'm surprise you haven't created the" House of Fox".
Jessica: Well, I have a lot of kids and they said, "You should do a "House of Fox", "House of Fox!". And unfortunately for me these days, what's out there is not what it was like back in the days when I was in the "Ball" scene. I don't want to seem like I'm being discriminatory but back in my day, there were no real women allowed. And now they have extended to those categories. I can understand that the real women want to be a part of the competition, but for me, a true drag ball, back in the day, competing to get your trophy was only for the gay world only. You were either lesbian or gay man. I learned from Dorian Corey who was my gay mother. Also if I were to create "House of Fox", I would have to attend all the "Balls", being the mother of the "house", and unfortunately, the "mother's" of these "houses" are not being true mothers.
John: That's a 24…
Jessica: You have to be accessible to your children. You need to be a good role model for them. You need to teach him, you need to be a mentor and for my kids I am, for my gay kids, I am. But I see a lot of these gay mothers nowadays who are just not, for them it's just a title. And that's all it is to them, a title. Back in the day, that's not what it was.
John: You have a wonderful career. Will you ever retire?
Jessica: Never! Never, never, never!!! I start college in the Fall. I have my days free. I was working as a private nurse. That wasn't for me because I get emotional attached. I couldn't deal with that, so I did some research and found out that Medical billing, Medical Tech is a big, big call for employment. (Ms. Jessica Foxx is an extremely bright diva, she scored high on her aptitude test; it's earned her a scholarship and financial assistance.)
John: What's the name of the first club you performed?
Jessica: The Silver Lining in New Hyde Park, Queens, was the first place that I ever did a number. And then on to Hatfields.
John: With your celebrity, do you lend your name or yourself to any causes, benefits etc.
Jessica: I haven't been asked to, but I'm always willing to. For the people in Jersey for a couple of years, they had some benefit thing going on, I did that for them. I've done many AIDS benefits; I've put together many AIDS benefits on my own, when I was at Crash. If the benefit is worthy, I'm there in a heartbeat. I was also a part of benefit for abused women, so if I'm approached… if it's worthy I'm definitely there.
John: How do you feel about gay marriage?
Jessica: I'm 100% for it. One of the reasons is, it allows gay partners to have medical coverage of their partner. Also allows spousal rights.
John: When you're not working, how do you spend your down time?
Jessica: Actually……….. I went to culinary school. I love to cook, as you can tell from my lovely shaped body. I collect all records and phonographs. I'm constantly looking for old records and old phonographs on line. One day I want to buy an old jukebox, I have no place to put it, but before I die I want one. I love to travel. I've been over to Europe many, many times. I look on line, to see what's going on over there, to see if they're any cruises. I love animals, so I love to go to the zoo, I love cats. I love to go shop for fabric, love to shop for jewelry for my shows. I love to walk around the city, go to street fairs.
John: You mentioned Europe. Have you performed in Europe?
Jessica: I did perform in Amsterdam at a club called, Exit 59, it was a speechless experience; I can't wait to go back.
John: Do you perform out of the Tri-State area?
Jessica: Yes, I've performed in Florida many times, I've performed in Puerto Rico, numerous times, I've never performed on the west coast but I've performed up and down the east coast, Florida, P.R., Virginia….
John: With your life choices, do you have any regrets?
Jessica: I'm sure everybody has regrets. If I had then the knowledge that I have now, I would be more than I could be. But I'm very happy with the person that I've turned out to be. I'm extremely proud of who I am.
John: I don't recall your recording any music on yourself. Is it something that you would like to do?
Jessica: No, I'm not a singer. I was offered once, it never happened.
John: In your opinion, what is the misconception that many may have about you?
Jessica: That I'm a bitch. Often times I will arrive at an engagement early and mingle with the crowd, they are surprised that I'm really a nice person.
John: Music -wise, who are you listening to these days?
Jessica: I'm old school; I love the divas, Diana Ross, Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle, all the Motown songs.
John: Do you have someone special in your life that you're in loe with?
Jessica: No, I've had 3 relationships, so I'm done. I've said if I ever have another man, he will be old, blind with one tooth. (We were both laughing).
John: What's your favorite word?
Jessica: Delicious, that's my favorite word.
John: What's your favorite sound?
Jessica: I like when you go on a cruise, I love the crashing of the waves.
John: And the last question, what would your fans be surprised to know about you?
Jessica: Wow that's a good question, mmmm. I love to cook.
Thank you Ms. Jessica Foxx. It was such a pleasure to chit chat with you.

The Music Corner

.: July/August 2010 :.
By Sr. Entertainment Correspondent & Chief Editor, John Frazier

Here's my featured favorite CD this month, its Macy Gray's, "The Sellout" and selling out she isn't, she's true to herself. And she's the Executive Producer, I might add. For a moment there, I didn't understand why so many love her sound, but I was captured by the 6th song, "Help Me". It was like, "Oh I see the light!" From that moment on I was in locked into her voice. She and Bobby Brown of New Edition, Whitney era, do a song together called, "Real Love", and I have a feeling that Ms. Gray will connect to the R&B, Soul audience too. Bobby sounds great. So if you're hungry for an unique, soulful, blues, R&B, Pop sound, make your purchase today. The single released is "Beauty In the World", of which the lyrics were re-written for the World Cup.
Alexis Jordan's single, "Happiness" is burning up the dance floors. If you like the Pussycat Girls, you will love Ms. Jordan, as her vocals are a little stronger, has a little bit more meat the bone
Legend Liza Minnelli has done Beyonce's "Single Ladies", for the film "Sex In The City 2". Now this is exciting when you have a legend and gay icon cover such a huge hit recorded by a legend in the making. Ms. Minelli, Leona Lewis, Alicia Keyes and Jennifer Hudson's music are on the Soundtrack released on "WaterTower Music". Rumors have it that Ms. Minnelli was offered to be on reality show, Celebrate Rehab, but the diva said no way!
Recording artist, neo-soul singer, Chrisette Michelle claims to have written Beyonce's hit, "Ego", but wasn't given credit. Now this has happened too many times, as Ms. Beyonce takes the credit for songs she didn't write. She did this with Neo, then again, with the young lady who wrote "If I Was a Boy". Now many of you will say that Ms. B. paid for the songs, which may be the case, but it still doesn't make her the songwriter. If I purchase a car, does that make me the creator of that car? I think not. Many may say that it's the nature of the business, but Ms. B. is a mega super star, give credit where credit is due. Otherwise, it appears that the divas are greedy, as in "much wants more".
Beyonce has cancelled out of the purposed remake of "A Star Is Born". Perhaps it's because she doesn't want to play another singer. Think "Dreamgirls" "Etta James", thank you very much.
Video of the year for the BET Awards 2010, Beyonce and GaGa up against Jay-Z and Alicia Keys. Now get this, Jay-Z's running against himself as he and Rihanna & Kanye West may take the award for "Run This Town". I like Beyonce but it would be nice to see some other equally talented folks win.
When the honorees for the Best New Artist was announced for the BET, the name Justin Bieber caused laughter as the audience thought it was a joke. I wondered what he sounds like, since the media has focused on his pretty boy looks and the fact that he's in Usher's pocket. Well when Mr. Bieber performed on American Idol, I was impressed, he does have talent and he can sing. As for the BET awards, he up against: Melanie Fiona, Nicki Minaj, Wale and Young Money. Who do I think will win, hell if I know.
As for "Best Collaboration" for the BET Awards, I believe this is a first, as Beyonce featuring Lady Gaga ("Video Phone") is running up against hubby, Jay-Z and Alicia Keys ("Empire State of Mind"). Now I'm putting my money on "Empire State of Mind", and it has nothing to do with my being born and raised there. It's just a much better song and I believe a classic, just like "New York, New York" and "New York State of Mind". Rumor has it that Alicia Keys in pregnant. It's also rumored that the pop/soul diva is responsible for the break up of her now live in lover, Swizz Beatz. The couple just purchased a duplex apartment in NYC for $14.5 million. Mr Beatz has one child with the former wife. Keys and Beatz are said to get married this summer
Former Destiny's Child member, Kelly Rowland has just signed a record deal with Universal Motown Records. Funny, just recently Ms. Rowland has been wearing her hair like former Motown diva, Ms. Diana Ross. Hopefully with Rowland's new deal we will finally see and hear Ms. Rowland at her best. David Guetta is featured on the single, "Commander", he's the genius between the "Black Eyes Peas. Check out Kelly's new video and release, "Commander" it's fierce. Click below.
  Commander
In new partnership. Ms. Juanita Bynum already known in the gospel world has hired Beyonce's dad, Matthew Knowles to represent her moving forward, as Ms. Bynum has said, "It's a brand new day". This is going to be interesting.
Ms. Janet Jackson has cut off all of her hair and is now sporting a short new sassy sex look. Many of her fans will shocked and pleased, no problem as she's a beautiful lady. I would imagine within the last two years so much has happened, she just needed a new look in celebration of her new life. Also Ms. Janet will be performing at the Festival in New Orleans in July 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Also scheduled to perform are Keri Hilson, Raphael Saadiq, Trey Songz, Ms. Glady Knight, L.L.Cool, Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige and Earth, Wind & Fire. It's going to be hot in New Orleans.
Randy Jackson wants to turn his late brother, Michael Jackson' resting place into become a tourist event, much like Elvis and Graceland. This sounds a bit strange to me, since Mr. M. J., was such a private person. This has greed and money written all over it. Hopefully the other Jackson's will be able to stop this possibility.
Triple threat Ms. Vanessa Williams will be joining the cast of Desperate Housewives for its 7th season, Sept. 2010. Her character is going to cause a whole lot of drama and I can't wait.
Queen Latifah's movie, "Just Wright" did not do right at the Box office. This is rapper turn actor, Commons first lead in this romantic comedy drama. Now I don't know why it failed, the Queen is very well liked in the industry. Perhaps it's time for the Queen to do some serious acting, for years it has been rumored that she would be ideal to play the late great Miss Pearl Bailey.
Cyndi Lauper gives a damn in her campaign against discrimination against that the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender experiences. This comment was taken from the press release: GLSEN (www.glsen.org) estimates that nearly 90% of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender youth have been verbally or physically harassed or assaulted, compared to 62% of their straight classmates. Approximately 3 out of 4 gay and transgender students are frequently called "faggot" or "dyke" at school. And almost a third of students who reported an incident of bullying said that school staff did nothing in response. Check below:

Ms. Lauper has also released a new album, which is going to be a totally different sound, it's called, "Memphis Blues". Her special guest are: Allen Toussaint, who has produced and worked with Labelle and The Pointer Sisters, legend B.B. King, Jonny Lang, legend Ann Peebles, Kenny Brown and Charlie Musselwhite. 12 songs in all, but I'd hoped for at least 16 songs. However, I guess it's best to leave your audience wanting more...
The Bitch Is Back! (Tony said this, not me) Tony Enos at NYC Gay Pride! He returns to New York in his 1st NYC performance of 2010! Live on the river for Heritage of Pride! NYC premier gay pride celebration! Don't miss this electrifying performance as TONY performs all new songs from his debut album "DID IT RITE" (available now on ITUNES & Cdbaby.com/cd/tonyenos3) leaving NYC breathless! Visit www.tonyenos.meakproductions.com for additional info.
Downtown Records to release "Night Work", the new album from New York City's, Scissor Sisters, on June 29th. This club has a 1970 - 80's sound. It's fun music. The Rollingstone magazine gave this album 3 stars and a half. Click here: http://www.scissorsisters.com/
I received my advance copy of Leela James new CD, "My Soul" debut on Stax Records, which has a famous history. As for Ms. James, if you love soul music, like I do, this is a must have for your collection. It would be great to hear her sing with Anthony Hamilton. This is a quote from this soulful diva: "The title of the album pretty much says it all," she explains. "I just wanted to go into the studio and do what moved me at the time, and not think about it too much or not allow it to be something that was too planned. That's what great soul music has always been about from the very beginning - something very raw, very authentic and very true." You want more? Click here for a taste of soul: http://leelajames.com
Ms. Peggy Lee is hot again, due to being included in a Starbuck's compilation. Fever is reaching a whole new generation. Now that's star power. Not long along I wrote an article for www.GBMNews.com on the late jazz great. Raw talent survives.
LILITH 2010 TOUR COMPILATION AVAILABLE IN STORES JUNE 15, 2010- 16 songs from some of the who's who in the entertainment industry: Sarah McLachlan, Kelly Clarkson, Queen Latifah, Norah Jones, to name a few. This is a celebration of women in the music industry.
Jai Rodriguez, the Latin brother from Queer Eye, is about to blow up. You may have seen him in the Beyonce/Lady GaGa video, but now it's time for his close up. He's about to be one of the feature actors, who's gay, on the new CW medical drama. It doesn't have a name yet, but it's definitely going to happen. Stay tuned.
Sexy, hot Latin brother, Kevin Alejandro has joined this new season of "True Blood", as Layfayette's love interest. Many may remember Mr. Alejandro from "Ugly Betty" or perhaps the series, Southland". Well, he's about to blow up, he's going to have a brand new audience. On "True Blood", I'm sure we will see a whole like of skin too. But fellows, he's married and has a child, so all you can do, like I do, imagine and dream.
Rumor has it that Usher claims to be the new Michael Jackson in the making. Now no one can replace the brilliance of the King of Pop, the late Mr. Michael Jackson. In one word, "Pompous" is what I think of Raymond Usher. Mr. Jackson didn't call himself "genius". Raymond Usher will never be called genius. Yes, his music is great, but Usher's already pecked in his career and it was nothing compared to Mr. Jackson. In another word, "Humble", Mr. Usher.
Many of you may recall I had written an article on Ms. Pam Grier, Well the diva has just released a tell all book about her life. She tells us about the relationship with the late Richard Pryor, she tells us about her cancer and the man that walked out of her life, when she needed him most. The title is "Foxy, my life in 3 acts". This should be interesting reading.
In the Spring issue of Swerv magazine, gospel great Ton3X addresses the black church and Donnie McClurkin who claims to have been gay once upon time, has become anti-gay and called out Ton3X in a negative way. Ton3X feels that Donnie should apologize. Also on Swerv spring issue, the cover has Ms. Isis King from American's Top Model and the shows first transgender and she's looking good.
Niecy Nash, recently voted on Dancing with The Stars has received 2 Emmy awards for her cable show, "Clean House". Girlfriend has been busy. We wish her good luck.
Apollo Theater's Walk of Fame on 125th Street in Manhattan NY debuts with honoring our legends, Mr. James Brown, Mr. Smokey Robinson and Ms. Patti Labelle. Next in line are Mr. Michael Jackson and the Queen of Soul, Ms. Aretha Franklin. The "Walk" looks like the Hollywood Walk of Fame. This is so wonderful! I'm excited.
Eddie Murphy and Melanie Brown aka Scary Spice have become friendly due to the child that they share. In the beginning Mr. Murphy claimed this was not his baby, but like Mr. Maury Povich would say, "You are the daddy!" Mr. Murphy had a gathering and all of his 7 children were present.
Actor/Rapper, Will Smith will bring back to the movie screen, "Men In Black 3" for the Spring of 2012. I hope that everyone is on board. I can't wait to see it.
New debut CD, "The Electric Hotel", from Lolene is set to be released in the Summer 2010 and it will be just in time to burn up the streets and dance floors. Song, "Rich (Fake it Till You Make It") is a song that perhaps the Pussy Cat Dolls could have not but didn't, which is great cause Ms. Lolene is taking it to a whole new level. Sex. Talent. Great Music and Lyrics. Check here for a listen & see:
  The Electric Hotel
Another treat for the summer heat is the release of Robyn's new album, "body Talk T PT 1". The club Kings and Queens are going to love the classic club beats, sounds and fever that it will bring. From Robyn's bio: Robyn explains: "I got all these great songs so why not? It's been 5 years since Robyn, and I didn't want to wait with a release until they are all recorded, so I decided to start putting them out right away. I also can't wait to play live again and this enables me to tour and record at the same time. I just want to keep making music." And we say, "Bring it, we are hungry feed us the music!
The beautiful young lady, who graduated from the Whitney Houston School of Voice, Ms. Christina Aguilera is also ready for the summer with her new single, "Not Myself Tonight". On the cover has Ms. C. loving like a cross between a Stepford Wife, on the left and on the right side, it's truly "bionic", the titled of the album. She's been missing for a minute, as she's gotten married, has a baby and has just completed a new movie with co-stars Cher. Now before I forget, "Not Myself Tonight" has been remixed, 8 in all. Where is the party? I want an invite.
The return of Ms. Macy Gray with her new CD, "The Sellout", which features her new single "Beauty In The World" , will have the fans rushing to the music stores to purchase a copy. Great single, very radio friendly, great music, lyrics, and the dance remixes have been released, 7 in all.
Not that anyone cares but did you know that media "queen" Perez Hilton's real name is Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr. Interesting? Why did the television personality change his name? The wonderful thing about Mr. Hilton is that he speaks his mind. It doesn't matter if you are President Castro or Will I. Am. He's very well respected in the Latin community. He's out of the closet and proud about it.
Can you believe this? A new CD from Tupac, called, "Tupac: Live at the House of Blues". This live performance was done at the "House of Blues" in L.A. The amazing line up of stars, which are featured guest: KCi & Jo Jo, Snoop Dogg, and Outlawz. This concert took place just a few months before his untimely death. I'm sure his fans will enjoy this offering.
Ms. Anita Baker is in the studio working on her new CD. Many may recall that her last CD, "My Everything", was ok but not superior like her prior CD's. However, when she was on the Monique Show, girlfriend turned it out with "Fairytale". Rumor has it that has the best producers, songwriters etc. I can't wait!
Speaking about Monique, did you see her older brother on Oprah's show? He apologized and the parents and another brother felt that the Oscar winner, Ms. Monique should have handled this subject in private and not bring it to the media's attention. And I say, "What's wrong with this picture?"
Have you seen Jennifer Hudson lately? Girlfriend looks fabulous. Tooth, weight, clothes, new baby and she got her man. Everything is coming up roses and we are happy for her.
"Was That All It Was? This R&B, jazz and dance diva, Jean Carne can sing. I was so happy to hear her song in the movie, "Precious". Many young fans have become interested in the lady with the voice. I've been a fan of Ms. Jean Carne for years. "Don't Let It Go To You", "Where Did You Go?", "Love Don't Love Nobody" and many more songs. I'm looking forward to interviewing this lovely lady.
This summer the Queen of Soul, Ms. Aretha Franklin is schedule to perform at three benefits with former Secretary of State, Condoleessa Rice as her pianist. Many of us already knew that Ms. Rice is a pro with the keyboard.
Pop, soft rock singer, Phil Collins will rejoin a back to Motown CD on Sept. 28th. This isn't the first time that the singer has visited Motown. He had a hit single with The Supremes hit," You Can't Hurry Love". The CD called, "Going Back", has remakes, "In My Lonely Room", "Dancing In the Streets", among other Motown recordings. Hopefully in the videos he will have the original artist.
I hope this is not true, but it's been reported that Lady Gaga may have lupus. This condition runs in her family, her aunt died from this at age 19. Gaga is 24. I'm sure with the proper care this young amazing talent will beat this.
Diva in the making, Estelle has a "Freak" remix. 10 different remixes with producer, David Guetta and Nick Van De Wall aka Afrojack. Mr. Guetta has been extremely as he's produced the "Black-eyed Peas" and Kelly Rowland. "Freak" will be a classic for this young generation. It's just fierce. Ms. Estelle's album, "Hot & Sexy" will be available soon.
Not to be outdone, Kelis has released "Acapella" the remix. On this offering are six remixes and the songs are long. You can just put it on and let it play. The "children" are going to love it. Great beats. Ms. Kelis is scheduled to release a complete album, "Flesh Tone", this summer. David Guetta produced this one as well.
I'm still waiting to hear from gay rapper, J.R., who's video and single, Will U Marry Me Boy", are off the hook. It's like "I Kissed A Girl & I Liked It", however it's a man to man conversation. Check it out:

Mariah Carey is no longer a part of the classic play that's being turned into a movie, "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf", to be produced and directed by Mr. Tyler Perry. Is Mariah crazy?? This is going to be huge. Already on board are Whoopie Goodberg (love her), Loretta Devine (want to be her best friend), Janet Jackson (Tyler loves her, this will be the 3rd film for them), Phylicia Rashad (something about her scares me), Macy Gray (there's something special about her acting ability, she shows great promise), Elise Washington (wonderful actress), and the list keeps growing. July is when it shooting started. Now if we could get Ms. Diana Ross to become a part of this fabulous group of actresses. "If you need me, call me", quote the diva, Ms. Ross, Tyler and Oprah call her!
"Sorry to all my fans in Europe!!! My tour is cancelled. I'm pretty sure y'all know. My entry was denied in your country. I love you. Sorry!!" quote Mr. Chris Brown as his work permit to perform in Europe was denied due to his felony. "Ouch! Brown's career has been in the toilet since the Rihanna drama. His career was just beginning to blow up (in a good way). His appearance on CNN with Larry King made things worse. His people should have prepared the young singer with possible questions. Instead he came off looking like the late Ike Turner.
What's going on what our Ms. Whitney Houston, I can recall when I first heard her sing. A group of friends, about 5 -6 of u were fans of mother, Ms. Cissy Houston. There was a time that Ms. C. Houston knew we were by group of course. Anyway Ms. W. Houston would sing, "Tomorrow", the song from the Broadway play, "Annie" and would bring down the house. We knew then that Ms. Cissy's daughter would receive the success that she did not and should have. Now many years later, many are saying that the Superstar Ms. Whitney is becoming compared to legend, Ms. Judy Garland. We must keep Ms. Whitney in our prayers. God can make a way out of no way, as the church folk say (and I'm one of them).
Tiger Woods, according to the National Enquirer has admitted to bedding down 120 women during his 5 year marriage. If this is the case, I'm pretty sure the marriage is over. At this point, Elin, his wife, probably hates the sight of him.
Ms. Sandra Bullock has adopted a beautiful Afro American baby boy. Which I think this is wonderful however it appears that our white brothers and sisters are adopting our children of color, perhaps, because our brothers and sisters aren't.
Rapper, Soulja Boy is said to be writing a book to inspire our youth, he wants to instruct them on how to become a billionaire. I'm sure once it's released the sales will add to his bank account.
Terrence Howard to play Nelson Mandela opposite Jennifer Hudson, who will play Winnie Mandela in upcoming movie which has many African filmmakers upset, since both actors are American.
A special thank to Martha at Fly-life Inc.
