Stage Play, "Chicago" gets Destiny's Child's, Michelle Williams

By Entertainment Correspondent, John Frazier

Ms. Michelle Williams, 28, of the girl group, "Destiny's Child", graced us with her presence on the stage in the play, "Chicago" in London's West End in July 2009 at the Cambridge Theater, as the role of Rokie Hart. Plus she has a new CD out called, "Unexpected". The interesting thing is that it appears that everything she touches is unexpected and surprisingly wonderful.

Now this little lady with the big talent has performed in other plays such as in Elton John's "Aida" and "Oprah's", the Color Purple's as Suge Avery in the tour production. Also she's recorded a few gospel CD's and has decided to change lanes with her new project, which is great for lovers of dancing, partying and having a good time.

When asked about her current CD, she had this to say:

"There are still a lot of people who don't even know that this album is not a gospel record, even though I'm on a half-naked boy in my video," she said at the time. "Maybe I am required to work harder than others, and that's okay, because God doesn't put any more on me than I can bear. Maybe I do have to just push through and get people to accept my music. It's gonna be hard, because I started out doing gospel and people aren't used to that."

So while she's in Europe, she will be promoting her CD as well. I have a feeling that Ms. Williams is going to have a busy yet exciting summer 2009. And lets not forget, many of her fans were able to see her on RuPaul's reality series, "Drag Race".

Girlfriend has tapped into her gay following through "Destiny's Child" and her solo projects, unconditionally and with love. You go, girl!
