Pussycat Dolls featuring Nicole Scherzinger, mmm this is interesting. Haven't we seen this before? First the group, then the lead singer is focused upon and the back-group singers become invisible. I can remember when this happened with Diana Ross and The Supremes and it also happened to Destiny's Child. Now I know the group remained Destiny's Child, but everyone concentrated on Ms. Beyonce.
Now its happening to the Pussycat Dolls, a group that I thought would be a "one hit wonder", but to my surprise and to the surprise of many, these ladies can really sing. Beauty and talent.
With the release of their single, "Hush" "Hush" "Hush" Hush", its now labeled "The Pussycat Dolls featuring Nicole Scherzinger". There is the "Hush" Mash up- and the 2nd is the CD, original recording. But then that depends on which release you purchase, there's been another release of "Hush" which has a few remixes, this might be the one to satisfy your dancing needs. Click here to view.
By the way, what happened to Kelly Rowland of Destiny's Child joining the "Pussycats?"
Kelly Rowland has been a busy young lady, as she's featured on "When Love Takes Over" the David Guetta club release. Just in time for summer and its heat.
The CD single has 7 different cuts, starting off with the 3:09 minute original, # 2 is 3:00 minutes of the electro radio edit, the 3rd is fierce the extended electro 8:22 mix.
The clubs are going to love this.
The 4th, 6:05 minutes for the "laidback" luke crowd, whatever that means. The number 5, 7:10 minutes of the Norman Doray & Arno Cost Remix.
The 6th, the Abel Ramos Paris with Love mix, # 6 and by # 7, the Albin Myers Remix, you will have worked yourself out of your clothes caused by sweat of unique club beats.
About David Guetta, according to his bio: From his first pioneering house single, "Up 1 Way", back in his native Paris, France in 1992 to the much-awaiting upcoming release of his new album later this year, he has been France's # 1 DJ for a decade, is now an international star whose name is synonymous with the world's greatest house and dance music and the sets and parties that bring that music to life. DJ, solo recording artist, producer and half of the planet's most sought-after dance party organizers, his career has pursed an upward arc that just keeps rising.
David Guetta has sold over 2 million albums worldwide and over 3.2 million singles in his career. As the world's no. 1 House DJ 2008, he is a fixture year after year on DJ Mag's top 100 DJ's list, was also named DJ of the year at London's House Music Awards.
Now I have no idea how he hooked up with Ms. Kelly Rowland, but the duo are HOT and this is a profound way for Ms. Rowland to distance herself from her "Destiny's Child", Beyonce connection.
For the first time she has her own voice. Carry on Ms. Rowland and Mr. Guetta, I have a feeling that as "Love Takes Over, you two are going to own the dance club musically for Summer 2009. Just get the club kids, "the children" as we called ourselves back in the day, behind you and you can't fail. As you can tell, I love it!
But we can't get away from girl groups, here's another, that's rotating in a completely different new direction. Introducing the Paradiso Girls. The ladies are from different places around the world. Paradiso Girls who are Aria (France), Chelsea (United States), Kelly (Barbados), Lauren (England) and Shar (Phillippines). As per the groups bio, this group is beyond with a multicultural twist, Paradiso Girls boast three lead singers, a rapper and a D.J.
At first listen, you are reminded of girl group, TLC, then the Pussycat Dolls and also girl duo, "Salt and Pepper" and platinum rapper, Lil Jon is featured guest. The sound is current with a great blend of hip hop, R&B, Pop, some African rhythms, and for the boys and girls, gay and straight, the sisters are eye candy delicious. The singles has various mixes, including a club mix. The debut CD, "Crazy Horse" is soon to be released. Keep an eye or should I say, keep your listening ears on, the sisters are about to blow-up. Watch out Pussycat Dolls there's a new sheriff in town. But I have a feeling that there's enough room for everyone. Meow.
THE BRITISH ARE TAKING OVER, INTRODUCING "LITTLE BOOTS"
On June 9, 2009, there released of recording artist, "Little Boots" (yes that's her name) first CD, titled, "Illuminations". This will on Elektra Records.
I was lucky enough to hear a few cuts, and I must say, that she has a great voice. She doesn't sound anyone else, no one to compare her to. The music is great as the dance clubs (the mostly white clubs) will love her and so will the DJ's. Now before I get mail, stating that I don't really know this artist, the truth is that I don't. I'm only going on what I've heard. If you are a "house-music" lover, this CD is not for you.
According to her bio: Little Boots - known to her friends and family as Victoria Hesketh - will herald the release of "ILLUMINATIONS" with a very special U.S. live performance. The one-night-only event is slated for New York City's Le Poisson Rouge on Monday, May 18th. An additional series of North American dates will be announced shortly.
Little Boots is without question the most talked-about new UK pop star of the year. The Blackpool-born Hesketh first captured attention as a member of electro-indie combo Dead Disco. Opting to pursue a solo career as Little Boots, she assembled an arsenal of synths and began airing her developing work on YouTube for all to see.
Despite not yet having a proper single to her name, Little Boots came in at #1 on the BBC's influential "Sound of 2009" survey, a sentiment uniformly agreed upon by most every other British media outlet. And no wonder - tracks like "Stuck On Repeat" and the limited edition debut club pounder, "Meddle," are imaginative and intense, with melancholic tension and an effortless way with hooks.
Here in the U.S., Little Boots has already drawn unprecedented acclaim for an artist yet to release a debut album. "(Hesketh) writes exquisitely constructed pop songs so innately appealing," wrote New York Magazine, "you're certain you danced to them at your prom." "Little Boots strapped on glittery frocks and blew away the crowd at Perez Hilton's party with her super-catchy futuristic disco," raved Rolling Stone in its coverage of this year's South By Southwest extravaganza. In addition, Hesketh recently made her U.S. television debut as the sole guest on an installment of NBC's Last Call with Carson Daly.
Even though I can't imagine myself dancing to this music, since I love "house-music", the voice and lyrics are great. It's a style of music that you will have to hear for yourself. "Quicksand", recording artist, LaRoux
When I first received this CD single and played it, I wasn't sure if I liked it or not. It's not really pop, dance and definitely not, soul music. But then I heard the remix and I think liked it but you be the judge
Electric Red
"How to Be A Lady" the new release from, yes, another girl group that you're probably already heard of, Electric Red.
Now these girls are straight out from the hood, ghetto. The CD is titled on how to be a lady yet there's a parental advisory explicit content label. Lil Wayne is on this one. Looks like the little guys are getting a lot of play. "Drink In My Cup", mmm, doesn't sound so lady like to me, but then they didn't say what kind of lady. Perhaps my definition is a little different, but that's what makes the world go around.
Oscar and Grammy award winner, Ms. Jennifer Hudson, gave birth to a darling baby boy, named David after his father. All 3 are said to be doing fine.
The long awaited CD from Ms. Whitney Houston was released on August 31. I hope the diva hasn't destroyed her God-given voice. If you compare Ms. Houston's voice to her mother's, Ms. Cissy Houston, and her first cousin's, Ms. Dionne Warwick, their voices were best in the fabulous 40's. Ms. Nippy, we are hoping and praying that your voice will stand the test of time. There's a link that has Ms. Whitney singing in live performance in Kazakhstan, July 08, and it wasn't pretty and the Central Park performance was indeed, sad, however, if you saw Ms. Houston on Oprah, she was great and looked beautiful! I have a feeling that things will only get better. Hopefully there's a difference a year later.
Many may remember that when Ms. Natalie Cole had her situation, her voice was not at it's best, but when she did the "Unforgettable" CD, her voice had returned in full force. By the way, Ms. Cole is doing well after her kidney transplant operation. Lets keep her in our prayers. She's got a whole lot more of living and giving to do. We love you, Natalie.
Speaking of Whitney news, Mr. Bobby Brown is a father again for the 5th time, not that anyone cares, but just in case you do.
The African beauty, Ms. Sade, is said to be in the studio, working on a new CD. Hopefully its as successful as her other CD's. You know Ms. Anita Baker stepped out of the spotlight, and upon her return, the music industry has changed. I'm sure the record sales are totally different than when she was at the top of her game. However, I have total respect for her, as it was more important to stay at home and be a wife and mother. Now she's back and doing it her own way.
New dance/club sensation, Lady Ga Ga, when compared to diva of divas, Ms. Grace Jones, said that it's a honor to be compared to such greatness, as for Lady Ga Ga, being famous, she answered, "I've always been famous, its only now that everyone is finding out". Talk about being fierce, its priceless.
So they said it wouldn't last and they were right, super entertainer, Usher has filed for divorce and I'm sure the soon to be ex, will have no problems financially and mmm if it the price isn't right, I'm sure girlfriend will tell it all. Now you have something to chit chat about.
