Diana Ross and Barbra Streisand to Record Duet?

By Entertainment Correspondent, John Frazier

According to Media Man "Village Voice", diva, Mr. Michael Musto, it's rumored that jazz diva, Diana Krall is writing a song for diva's, Ms. Barbra Streisand and Ms. Diana Ross. Yes, to record together.
For years I've wondered why Ms. Streisand and Ms. Franklin didn't record. If you are a Streisand fan, you know that she can really blow. The soul of Ms. Streisand can not be touched. She has a recording, the late Ray Charles hit, "It's Crying Time Again", that I've played for friends who thought that it was Aretha. Later Ms. Streisand did it live with Mr. Charles, but it's the studio solo recording, that's a must to hear.

Now many are probably wondering if Ms. Ross can sing with Ms. Streisand? And the answer is yes, of course. I feel that lyricist and composer, Denise Rich would be excellent for this project. There's a song that Ms. Ross recorded on her "Everyday Is a New Day" CD, titled, "Until We Met Again". It's the kind of song that's perfect for both, Ms. Ross and Ms. Streisand. If you are indeed, a real, Diana Ross and Barbra Streisand fan, you will totally get what I'm talking about. And yes, let's not forget great song writer, Ms. Carole Bayer Sager. It's a classic waiting to happen.

Back in the day, it was reported that when Ms. Streisand and Ms. Donna Summer recorded, disco hit, "Enough Is Enough", that Ms. Summer passed out, when the both of them were singing, the word, "tear". When Ms. Summer woke up, Ms. Streisand was still holding that note. After she asked Donna, "Are you alright?"

Now Ms. Ross and Ms. Streisand have mellowed and don't have anything to prove. The both of them are forever legendary. A complete CD, I'm not sure would work, but Ms. Ross hasn't done a "duet" CD yet. Maybe she can record with Ms. Barbra and 13, 14 other of her favorite famous friends like, Dionne Warwick, Donna Summer and throw in Ne-yo and some of the current hit makers.

In any event, we will have to wait and see if the rumor is true. Sometimes that's truth to a rumor, I hope this is the case with this one.
